Meet our new Manager, Anita Lince Maling
Anita was born and raised in the Valley. Her great-grandfather Charlie Schmidt moved here 100 years ago, so she definitely has roots here. As a child she was fascinated with the old hotel in the middle of town. Rumors about the original owner of the Moore hotel intrigued her and she remembers thinking the old hotel certainly looked tired and lonely.
After living in the Poulsbo area raising a family and teaching, she began spending vacation time in the Methow Valley to visit local family & friends. Eventually she stayed as a guest at the Inn and was charmed by the transformation to the old hotel that Terry and his family had accomplished.
Anita is beyond thrilled to be stepping into the Manager role for the summer and fall and you will thoroughly enjoy her energy, her sense of stewardship of the Inn and appreciation of the history that surrounds it. She has spent countless hours researching S. Virginia Moore, the original hotel owner, and the early days in Twisp. When you come and stay at the Inn ask Anita to share some of the fascinating historical details she has uncovered!
